PHILOSOPHY
We believe that serving fresh, high quality products that highlight and support our local businesses is essential in helping our community grow and introduces people to commerce which they might not have used previously. It is our commitment to offering you the best that we hope makes our coffee shop your new gathering grounds.
After the Village Bean moved to Albany, we felt that it left a huge hole in our community. Coffee shops are such great places to build connections with people. It is our desire for the Gathering Grounds to be more than just a coffee shop. Our intention is to create a comfortable environment, within a historical building, for people to gather over coffee, encourage each other & empower one another to be a positive change in our community & beyond.
ABOUT US
As soon as the old Lake View Hotel was available for purchase, Annette Petermeier and Lisa Pelkey found themselves contemplating the historical building and the idea of bringing a coffee shop back to Avon, MN. Shortly after, they purchased the century old building, which is located only three blocks from the Wobegon Trail, and started their journey in bringing an independent coffee house back to Avon.
We want to help support local businesses and artists, and are proud to be able to provide local products, promote local musicians & artists, and are available to host parties after hours for you and your friends or your local business. Our menu consists of a wide variety of hot & cold coffee beverages, gourmet tea, locally made pastries, handmade sandwiches, snacks and soups- if the season calls for it!
